terroir

Zonda Valley is a privileged area with a unique microclimate. Located in the south-central San Juan and set in a winding Pre Andes valley, it has a semi-arid climate with annual rainfall of 100 mm. Its wide temperature range, together with the gentle and permanent Zonda wind, make a perfectly healthy vineyard giving grapes with great enological potential.
The vineyards that make up this diversity of "terroirs" allow the enologist a wide range of oenological combinations. Zonda was declared Geographical Identification by the INV (National Institute of Viticulture) – IG Zonda -in attention to their attributes of quality grapes

finca la leona

Lying in the foothills of Sierra Chica de Zonda, this farm has its own characteristics. Located at an altitude ranging from 900 to 980 meters, with alluvial, stony soil and highly complementary sun exposure from the West, this vineyard produces Malbec, Syrah and Pinot Gris grapes that mature with a remarkable typicity.
finca la ciénaga

In southern Zonda Valley, in a privileged place, at 1400 meters high and with natural springs of melting water, the best Malbec, Syrah and Pinot Noir grow. Here the temperature range is more pronounced due to the fresh south wind, these features allow a March harvest. The oenological freedom attained by having grapes harvested in three "terroirs" give Xumek wines with unique characteristics.
